In addition to games and practices, which will be scheduled for each division as the season gets underway, the Red Hook and Rhinebeck Little League organizations are happy to organize several league-wide events for registered players and families. Please save the date for these events:

Baseball evaluation and mandatory coaches meeting
Bulkeley Middle School in Rhinebeck
To ensure that teams are balanced based on players’ levels of experience, players are asked to attend an evaluation clinic on March 25, 2023, from 9 a.m. - noon. Different age groups will be asked to attend different time slots. Stay tuned for details. Volunteer coaches must also attend to assist with evaluations, participate in safety training and discuss other season details.

Father Carroll Field Prep
Volunteers are invited to join board members, coaches and other league volunteers to prepare Father Carroll Field, West Market St, Red Hook. This event may be held on Saturday, April 8, based on field or weather conditions. Bring work gloves and, if you have one, a metal rake. The main task will be to hang the sponsor signs on the outfield fence. RSVP by emailing [email protected]

Opening Day Ceremony and Equipment Swap

Families are encouraged to attend our annual Opening Day Ceremony at Father Carroll Field, West Market Street in Red Hook. We also encourage you to bring used cleats, bats, gloves, helmets and catchers equipment that is in good condition. Families may find items they need, and freely give items that they no longer need.

Games begin
For most divisions, the first games will take place in the week following Opening Day. Parents will learn about practice and game schedules from coaches, once teams have been assigned and game schedules have been drafted. For many divisions, games cannot be scheduled until the district schedules games against other towns, so please be patient.

Memorial Day Parades
Join your team and march in the Memorial Day parade! Wear your uniforms. For Red Hook, meet in the south parking lot of Red Hook High School at 9:45 a.m. For Rhinebeck, meet near the Fairgrounds grandstand on Mulberry Street, at 10 a.m.
June-mid July
District Tournaments
Near the end of the regular season, a single tournament team will be formed for each eligible division. Post-season play for this all star team will involve games against other teams in the District (Dutchess and Putnam counties). This team will play at least from June through mid-July. To ensure they are eligible to play, players should be available for most games and practices during this time period. For more information, see What Parents Need to Know About All-Stars.

Red Hook and Rhinebeck Little League board meetings
Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, at 7:30 p.m., at the Red Hook Grange, 10 Prince Street in the Village of Red Hook.
